I picked up an order Sunday supper time 2 X #9 and an order of Singapore noodles (med). The noodles were all stuck together and it looked and tasted like someone just dumped about 5 tsp. of curry on the dry noodles and stirred them.no egg in noodles and very little meat. The beef and broccoli was Not good ,the broccoli was so overcooked it was mushy. Oh and I believe that we found like 7 tiny tiny shrimp in the noodles. Not worth the $47.00 I paid for it. It wasn't busy at all at the restaurant , needless to say I will NOT be a returning customer !!

When I went to order there was no one at the counter so I waited. The phone rang and the 'help' came and answered it while I waited, then another call came in and she took that order while I was still waiting to order, I was about to leave but thankfully another call didn't come through. When I ordered my takeout order I was told it would be 15 minutes, so I came back at that time and waited and waited for another 10 minutes while the food sat in a waiting area until the 'help' gave it to me. The food was barely warm when I got home. I think the owners need to find new help, because they are losing customers for bad manners and customer service.

Very disappointed. I very rarely leave reviews, but after this "meal" I felt I had to. This was the first time we have gotten food from there in a few years, and we rarely eat out or order food due to budget. This experience was much worse then previous experiences we have had there several years ago. The meat in every dish was not tender at all, it was tough, while the vegetables were so soft and mushy they may as well have been mashed. Chow mein dry noodles were packed in with the sauce and got soggy having no crunch at all to them, they should have been kept separate so they could keep their texture. The chicken in the chow mein was more grey than I expected and surprisingly very dry with a taste that was off, I attributed it to the sauce, but on hindsight it almost reminded me of dry dark turkey. Overall, the meal was bland and any flavour it did have does not inspire me to get food there again. Unfortunately I picked the food up just as they were closing and could not contact them about the issues. We ate it anyway because we were hungry and for what it cost us out of our budget, tossing it would have been upsetting, though not sure if I my stomach will be even more upset anyway later this evening or tomorrow morning.

worst Chinese food I ever had. I ordered take out....took it home...tasted it...threw it in the compost...phoned the restaurant and very politely told them it was horrible....I would not ever be back and would never recommend it. The waitress didn't understand "I will never be back" as she offered to replace the food if I returned it. I recommend you try every other Chinese restaurant in Bridgewater...heck I recommend you try every other restaurant before you ever eat here

Overall bad chinese food. Chicken wasn't fully cooked, the sauce on the beef and broccoli was awful and made everything taste bad. Bad aftertaste too. Try harder next time.

I am very saddened to say that 3 generations of my family have eaten here regularly over the years and always loved it....until the new owner took it over. I am unsure if it's the change in cooking style or recipes or trying to cut costs, but the food itself is truly incomparable to what it was before. I am not saying the food is horrible, just not the same quality, taste, ingredients and speedy service that we were used to. As for hospitality, the previous owner knew all of us by name and remembered our orders and even asked us about our work. She was truly invested in making a connection with her customers. Unfortunately we have decided not to dine here anymore. The food is not bad, just doesn't live up to what was served in the past.

Took out a dinner for three. Egg rolls and chow mein had no taste. The chicken balls only had a small piece of chicken inside a thick batter. Rice was hard and only had four pieces of chicken in the whole container. The ribs were tough and fatty, both the rice and ribs had a weird smell and taste to them , not fit to eat . Overall- the food is terrible. I hope they can take this review and reevaluate themselves, especially the cooks.

I’ve noticed this owner is giving wayy toooo many fake 5 stars reviews to this restaurant. People are not stupid. Every time a bad review pop- up , 3 - 4 fake 5 stars will also pop - up to keep up with their ratings. SHAME on you for not listening to the real complaints from your customers instead of blaming the previous owner for writing bad post without any proof . They are not terrible people like you said. I will say the previous owners are gooood people and have successfully ran Egg Roll King restaurant for 36 years before retiring. I know , the truth hurts!

We had a takeout order from this restaurant tonight. This restaurant have just had a new owner in the past year and the food sucks . Really not good. Egg rolls were soggy and old and the spring rolls were terrible, cold inside and mouthful of oil , gross . The chicken balls were tough. Rice and sing noodles were so wet , it looked like just came out of the microwave. The soo guy was hard and burnt - gravy was dark, gross. Food was so bad . You don’t need an university degree to write this review. We spent over $80.00 for garbage. Buyers BEWARE.

I've noticed that the same person keeps writing almost the same exact review under a different name. You can tell by the grammar mistakes and the same words put in all capitals. I have had many positive dine in and take out experiences at this restaurant over the past year. You can really tell a big difference in the atmosphere. The waitresses have great customer service and the food is always hot and very enjoyable.

I had been eating in this restaurant over 36 years. They are always BUSY cuz the food is always HOT and GOOD. Since the new owners took over in that last few months. This restaurant is gone way DOWN HILL cuz the food is COLD and CRAPPY . I really miss the old KING cuz you will never find someone that cooks like the old KING anymore !

If I could give this restaurant 0 rating I would because they are not following the Proper COVID PROTOCOL. I noticed the kitchen staffs are not wearing a MASK or SOCIAL DISTANCES at all . We really enjoy this restaurant but ever since the original owners retired, we don’t like the food anymore. The new owners have no clue or any knowledge of what they are doing. We tried a few times out but the food had no taste at all and it’s very disappointing. We really miss the former owners.

Ordered Chicken fried rice, Lemon Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein and egg rolls. Just letting you all know that is was so overcooked and not fresh at all, The lemon chicken was like shoe leather, egg rolls were burnt, rice and chow mein, mediocre.
It’s been awhile since we visited this restaurant and so we thought we would order take-out for supper.
We would have taken it all back had we lived in the area. I’m sure they would not have served this to sit-in customers!!! WE would not have eaten it in restaurant that’s for sure. The crows are enjoying the lemon chicken.

I just had the worst meal I have had in a very long time. I was feeling hopeful when I walked in and saw the award for best restaurant, and another sign stating that my wait would be a bit longer than usual due to the fact they made everything from fresh food. I had ordered pan fired dumplings, that were oily, burnt and tasteless. And I love dumplings. These were not worthy even to be called dumplings. I had one. We also ordered veggie chow mein that looked like it had come from a can. There were no noodles in it. The vegetable fried rice had a burnt taste to it as well, and the vegetables looked like they came from a bag of frozen veggies. The only good thing was the lemon chicken, and it was not very lemony tasting. I was very disappointed. Will not be eating here again.
