The chicken pho here seriously hits the comfort food spot with its bright, flavorful broth and super tender chicken, especially when paired with their fresh noodles and that addictive ginger scallion sauce. I'm a big fan of their banh cuon too-soft, flavorful, and always loaded with veggies, plus they serve it with amazing fish sauce and fried shallots that take it over the top. Service is simple and quick, the place is small and cozy, and while prices can be a bit steep, the strong Vietnamese coffee and generous portions make it worth it.

I love the chicken pho at this East Bay spot - it's my favorite comfort food, especially when I'm under the weather. The shredded chicken with ho fun is my go-to order, and I always make sure to add extra ginger green onion sauce for that extra kick.
