I won free tickets to some shows on my off days by signing up on their website. If you bring your parking ticket, the waiter will validate it, making parking only $2. Seating is first come, first serve, so try to arrive early for better seats. The tables are close together, so you might end up sharing with another guest, but the food is average and the full bar offers a variety of drinks. Fill out a comment card and give it to the waiter for a chance to win more free tickets. After the show, the comedians will take pictures with you, and the cocktail setting is quite romantic. The Pointe Orlando offers a variety of entertainment options like theater, shopping, restaurants, laser tag, and dancing. I recommend checking out Taverna Opa for a fun experience with a belly dancer and conga music. I've been here many times and always enjoy it, although I wish there was a location closer to me. Fat Fish Blue, a New Orleans themed Creole restaurant located upstairs at Pointe Orlando, offers a nice patio with views of nearby shops. Their beer selection includes options from Louisiana brewer Abita, such as Turbodog and Purple Haze. The "Buffalo Tails" appetizer, featuring fried crawfish tails in buffalo sauce, was tasty but a bit pricey. I opted for the "Bacon & Blues" burger with sweet potato fries, which was juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato fries came with a sweet Maker's Mark sauce. The live band played classic rock and oldies, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, the experience at Fat Fish Blue was enjoyable, especially when expecting a Louisiana-themed restaurant rather than authentic cuisine. Despite arriving late due to a thunderstorm, the restaurant saved our seats and provided great service. The Jeff Wiley Blues Band was engaging and entertaining, adding to the enjoyable evening. I ordered the Country Fried Chicken, which had a delicious hint of spiciness in the gravy and jalapenos in the cornbread. The Cajun burger may not have impressed my boyfriend, but the sweet potato fries with cinnamon were a hit. The crab bisque and crab cakes were delicious, and the attentive service made for a pleasant dining experience. I hope business picks up soon for this creole/cajun restaurant.
