While visiting Jay, Vermont for a hockey tournament, we crossed into Canada and ended up at a lively pub in Knowlton with a huge outdoor terrace perfect for people watching. The food was hearty and flavorful-from the massive duck flatbread to the poutine and beer-battered onion rings-served alongside refreshing drinks, though the slow service and pesky flies outside were a bit of a drawback.

During a hockey tournament trip in Jay Vermont, my family and I decided to venture into Canada for a meal. Following a border guard's suggestion, we found ourselves at a bustling pub in Knowlton. The outdoor seating offered a nice ambiance, albeit with a few too many flies buzzing around, but the fruity house sangria and generous portions of duck flatbread made up for it. The slow but friendly waitstaff, diverse menu options, and cozy outdoor setting made for a memorable dining experience that was well worth the visit.
