I've been going to The Swan for the past 5 years or more with a couple of friends and before that, for at least another 10 years. The atmosphere and food has always been extremely good and a good value. The last couple of times, the food has not been as good. And it's too bad they changed the menu and took so many of the good items off. I'm writing this review because tonight we ordered takeout. The meals were extremely disappointing. I ordered the Steak and Fries with the steak medium rare. What I got was an extremely well done, 1/4" steak (or less)that was tough, full of gristle and ice cold. The fries were soggy and also ice cold. Then there was some corn type of salad which was too spicey for me to eat. This was not an acceptable meal for $25. My friend ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. While the taste was not bad, the meal was basically a plate of under cooked noodles and 3 tiny pieces or rubbery lobster...for $32!!! Come on...noodles are not that expensive! My other friend ordered the Steak and Stout which he said was not bad but much spicier than usual. We also had an order of zucchini to start. We've always enjoyed zucchini at the Swan- it's the best anywhere and an order was more than enough for the three of us to share when we're having a meal as well. Unfortunately, the price has gone up by about $3 and the quantity has gone down by at least a third. There were 14 small pieces, a much smaller order than in the past. Overall this was a horrible dining experience and unfortunately we will be thinking hard before we return. I have heard that there is a new owner and obviously a new chef as well. From this experience, if I was the owner I would seriously be questioning the choices I've made about the quality, size and cost of the meals as well as the choice of the cook.

We took our Mom to have her Birthday lunch, We had the best experience starting with the staff, the meals were were beautifully presented and exquisitely prepared we all enjoyed our meals and we will be back soon to try other amazing meals. Complements to the Chef.
I must admit they spoiled us with free Birthday desserts entrees. Thank you for making our experience extra special.

Love the place and dedication the staff and owners put into their business!

Always had amazing service, good food, friendly and attentive staff. One of my favourite places to dine.

The atmosphere is that of an English Pub, and I can say this as I am originally from England. The décor and theme throughout is based on original English heritage, many items decorating the walls have been provided by satisfied customers who have either returned, or visited England and want to show their appreciation for the elements shown within the Swan.

The service here is extremely poor. We arrived at 5:00 p.m. and our meal arrived at 6:05 p.m. People who arrived at least 30 minutes after us were served their meals before us. Whoever is responsible for organizing meals in order of seating should be fired. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!
