Beware - Avoid this place if you don't want your "walk of fame" day dampened by downright ignorant people. Our daughter was with us on vacation. She has a severe peanut allergy. We stopped into the Shelley Cafe for lunch while walking the stars. As usual, we asked to see the ingredients on the items she intended to order. 99% of the time, everyone is very helpful with this. We were shocked by the reaction of the Cook (and probably part owner) of this "dive". He immediately got very nasty and refused to provide the information. We asked nicely once more and he threw a big box up on the counter. He was very ignorant and unpleasant. Too bad there are people like this in the world. We were the only ones in the cafe, so it's not like he didn't have time for that. Lots of other restaurants on that street, with nice people working in them. Beware.

My husband and I stopped here while on a tour of the area. The customer service was the best, the food was outstanding the the prices were brilliant.

A Hollywood institution! Great BLTs w/Avocado.

The Hollywood diner that time forgot. Great for a cheap breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dine in and take it to go. Popular with the locals, although it gets the occasional tourist (or tour bus). Try the grilled cheese with tomato!
