The French toast here is a divine treat-thick slices of sourdough soaked in vanilla egg batter, rolled in fresh cornflakes, and served with vibrant berries that awaken the palate. The Florentine Benedict, with its perfectly poached eggs, creamy Hollandaise, and fresh spinach and avocado, offers a harmonious balance of flavors alongside their house-special potatoes. Between the cozy, homey ambiance filled with charming artwork and the attentive, friendly service, every visit feels like a warm, delicious embrace that keeps me coming back.

Marston's gives new meaning to the term "intimate dining". It is a small cottage with a distinct at home atmosphere. The tables are very close together - hence the "intimate" part.
The staff are friendly and very prompt.
The food is wonderful, with varied selections on their breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Marston's is well known for its hearty breakfasts (be prepared to wait, or come early as the lines can be long on Saturdays and Sundays), and the lunchtime salads are well prepared and generous and their San Pasqual dressing is legendary.
Dinner can be a quieter experience as reservations are recommended.
