It seems the food is good, but I wouldn’t know as the customer service is terrible. I called to tell them their online menu was down, but that I was interested in the shrimp gumbo or “the pot” (didn’t know if both these were available due to COVID-19 limited menu). However, I didn’t finish my sentence before she left the call to check herself. Fine, I get it, they’re a restaurant and don’t want to lose orders due to technical difficulties. I wait on hold for a while, when she finally comes back and says “It works for me, and I don’t have time to ‘sit on the phone with you’” presumably to tell me the limited COVID menu? Honey, I don’t need a play-by-play, nor for you to ‘sit on the phone’ with me. If you would’ve let me finish, I just wanted to know if you had the shrimp gumbo because I didn’t want to order something off menu in a stressful time. Weirdly aggressive and unwarranted, I was completely caught off guard, just said thanks and hung up confused.

An amazing little restaurant... which will not be little any more as they are expanding into a new location. The food is amazing.. not your run off the mill fare. Not bland, not skimpy, and not cheap.

1) The Food
Full of flavor in every single bite. Highly seasoned, and the spicy stuff is spicy (as should be.. its Cajun themed). The gumbo is the house specialty (hence the name Gumbo Girl) but they boast an extended aray of suitable dishes for everyone to enjoy. The menu is a collection of their family recipes and just like a good gumbo there is a little bit of everything.
The tacos are a second favorite to the gumbo; shrimp, steak anf fish! Delightful!
There is also a dish called the Pot. A play off the popular junk pot style of cooking. This is an original they've made and can not be found anywhere else. Ive seen others imitate and fail miserably (just stay in your lane).
The gourmet burgers add fresh salads add an interesting Americana flair to the menu. Its not a huge overbearing menu but overwhelming only because it had the actual pictures of the dish as it comes; ALL OF IT LOOKS SO GOOD! Decisions decisions to make!

2) The service
The servers are friendly and polite. Attention to detail and the customers needs always come first. You get a warm cozy invite as though to a friend's or relatives' home.
You can tell that the management care about their offerings and their business. The place is always clean as can be. You could eat in the beautiful bathrooms... clean! I've heard their kitchen is ran the same way!

3) Prices
Some people like to make a big deal about prices in a small quaint place, without regard of what it takes to create a specific experience. The prices are consistent (if not cheap) for the quality, quantity and service given. You will be hard pressed to find anything this authentic, and should come with a price.
