The restaurant I recently visited for lunch had a delightful BBQ aroma that greeted me as soon as I walked in. I ordered a jumbo pork sandwich with slaw and pickles, a side of sliced smoked turkey, and a medium potato salad, all of which were delicious. The service was impressively quick, with my food ready in less than 10 minutes despite a line of people ahead of me. I highly recommend this place for its great food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff.

The quality of the food presentation is drastically different from the evening to Saturday! Was very disappointed in the food for dinner!

good restaurants know that loyal return customers are what drives them. I have been eating at various locations of 13th Street BBQ since I was young. The one thing that I could always count on was consistently unchanging product. That's what always brings me back: the fact that the quality does not change even though the price may go up. Recently, due to the price of pork increasing, the price of the standard chipped barbecue sandwich has gone up 25%. This would not bother me as much as does the fact that the BBQ sandwich now is of a pasty consistency with very little "bite" almost like Mike and Ed's nasty chipped paste sandwich.
It is fine if you go up on price, but please do not change what works. That small amount of barbecue that you are saving is causing customers to go to other reliable restaurants for products that they know and expect. I never thought that you would change your tried and true formula, but now I will give it one more try in a month or so and see if it is back to the original. If not I will just go to Clearview and wait in line for a good sandwich with real barbecue for 99 cents.
Remember, stick with what works even if you go up in price. Your loyal customers will reward you for it with return business. Cutting corners, even if you think no one will notice, rarely works.
