I stopped by this family-owned restaurant near my work for lunch and was impressed by the friendly service and great prices, especially enjoying the outstanding Billy burger with fresh ingredients and crispy fries. The atmosphere has a charming vintage bar vibe that makes you feel connected to the town's history, and the owners clearly take pride in their local heritage. While parking can be tricky and the bathroom location isn't ideal, the quality of the food and warm, attentive staff make it worth returning whenever I'm in Defiance.

Great food and good prices at Kissner's in Defiance. It's a family-owned gem with a cool atmosphere, offering above-average bar food. The local pride and heritage shine through in both the food and service here. A must-visit for the full Defiance experience.

Food wasn't bad, but the service was horrible. Young blonde waitress constantly on her cell phone, and although she had on a wedding ring she was "throwing" herself all over the men in the dining room. Also I think she took at least two smoke breaks while we were there

I won't be back and will not tell friends to dine here. I thought it was a family restaurant, but guess it really is a down and dirty bar. It's a shame stuff like this goes on in a "family restaurant" -- I will not subject my kids to this ever again.

A group of us from Toledo came to this historical downtown Defiance eatery for some delicious prime rib & walleye dinners, great appetizers like gizzards, poppers, fried pickles & cheesy potatoes! The hospitality of the owner, Karl Kissner, is as friendly & warm as the hearts of Defiance residents; what a great place to share stories, revel in the moment and, enjoy a great, great meal. We'll be back in the Fall for a Tom & Jerry!
