On February 11, 2024, I hosted the 2nd Annual Galentine's Day gathering with family and close friends, where a friend brought Ube truffles from Cafe 86 in Artesia that everyone found overly sweet and not up to their expectations. After my friend contacted the owner, who was apologetic and offered a full refund along with additional treats, I decided to try other Ube desserts, which the owner personally delivered with extra items, demonstrating impressive customer service. Separately, 85C Bakery and Cafe offers a wide variety of well-made pastries and drinks, including favorites like mango cake and sea salt coffee, with a clean, spacious environment and friendly staff, making it a reliable choice for sweet treats despite occasional crowding.
