Best Slug Burgers ever. Not like any other hamburger but the only burger I will ever eat. These are the type of food you either love or hate, no in-between. My family were raised eating these so definitely a love here. Best fries ever. Thank you for opening again.

My mother skippped school in th 30s to go to Penns. I skipped school in the 60s, same reason, my kids did in the 80s. We may not have much education but we sure know how great Penns are. Simply the best!!

This establishment was created during depression. Bread is added to the hamburger and fried crisp with onion, mustard, and red pepper if you like. This is a southern food. A recipe that helped feed more ppl when there was little with many to feed. The prices are very economical. Proud to have this piece of history. To those who complain it's not what you are used to. No it isn't bc it's not the same as everyone else. It is very good. Thanks penns for returning even after the relative recent devastating fire and pandemic. Your locals love you. We've been eating this our whole lives. Keep overcoming!

Tried this place a couple of months ago. It certainly wasn't a ground beef hamburger? At least not what I'm used to eating. To each his own. Nothing but a fried bread sandwich. Yes, it went in the trash.

What kind of meat is this? I feel like I just ate a bunch of fish sticks

Tried the burgers.... we all did not think this burger chewed, tasted or smelled like a burger. We through all the "burgers"in the trash. More bread than meat. Fries, mustard and onion were great. We initially thought the restaurant could use a drive thru. However after tasting these burgers, we would not waste the money. Good Luck with your experience.
