I love Miwa for its delicious food and friendly staff whenever I visit Hilo. The fresh fish and uni were highlights of my dining experience, and the overall quality was comparable to what I've had in Japan. Have eaten here twice ..once, travelled 500 miles extra to get there.
Fabulous authentic Japanese food ...so PLEASE ask the person in charge to stick with authentic Japanese dishes. They will be so pleased you asked.
