Though the building shows its age and parking fees are steep, the welcoming atmosphere, convenient location near downtown Indy, and whimsical touches like ghostly figures and vintage train memorabilia created a memorable stay that felt both cozy and full of character.

The historical hotel was made even more special by the dedicated staff members - shoutout to Mecka at the front desk and Roy, who goes by "Tiny," one of the most exceptional bellmen I've ever encountered. Their warm welcome set the perfect tone for a memorable anniversary weekend, filled with genuine hospitality and a touch of history that made our stay truly unique. The hotel's rich historical background adds a charming touch to the experience, offering a glimpse into the past, though it may lack the modern luxuries of a 5-star establishment; however, the genuine warmth of the staff, the fascinating train cars, and the convenient location near various attractions made our stay truly enjoyable and worth remembering.
