Best food ever!!!

The Pearl used to be a a very good restaurant until new owners took over. I'll begin with the staff. They were delightful and gave us great service. The atmosphere was terrible. Very dark and dingy. The music was very loud with a poor choice of music for a restaurant that is supposed to be of this caliber. We were told the chef " liked" that music. We ordered the special meatball Gorgonzola appetizer. Yummy. Then the main course came out and everything went downhill. Ordered the veal. One piece was good and one was so chewy that I had to spit it out. We told the waiter and asked him just to bring another small piece and we would be okay with that. In return, we got a small plate with a steak knife on it! The chef had said to use the steak knife to cut a tough piece of veal. We both looked at the waiter and said we would like to speak to the chef. Waited 10 minutes and then the waiter came out with a small piece of veal. The chef never showed up. The waiter was very apologetic but it was not his fault for the unprofessional manner of the way the chef handled the situation. I asked to speak to the manager to be told that the chef was the owner! I will never go back. There are times that a cut of meat may be bad. But to be handled that way was terrible.

Wonderful atmosphere in a great location good prices for good quality food well prepared fresh and tasty nice exotic assortment of dishes along with traditional homemade signature dishes I enjoyed the servers who are well informed an added to the experience and pleasure of dining by explaining the food and the wines that complemented the chefs Talent a blending flavors making the food well-balanced as well as nutritious
