I never write restaurant reviews, but this one was compelling. Where do I start?
It took 30 minutes to order a drink and another 45 minutes to receive them.
We ordered one bottle of sparkling water and they kept upselling us all night to order more bottles.
Onion soup served cold and was returned to be heated up
I ordered a martini, which was warm. I requested a glass of ice and they charged $2.00 for it. Come on"¦
Tuna ordered medium rare. It came out raw. Sent back and it came out over cooked - inedible
Cappuccino came out cold
Glass smashed on the floor at the table behind us by a bus boy and the glass went flying everywhere.
Ambience overly loud between screaming patrons at the bar, patrons and wait staff.
Our waiter was nice, friendly snd informative. But"¦..totally overwhelmed with tables. We didn't see him for over 30 minutes when we tried to order dinner.
Overall review: Maybe 1 star due to the nice waiter. WAY WAY OVERPRICED (Miami and NY prices with awful food), ambience a 2 (1 point for the view and location), service pretty awful. Not much else to say except don't waste your $ since Newport has so many better places to enjoy an evening out dining.

I live in Newport. I've always loved the ambience of 41 North, with that being said that all it is... a fancy place with beautiful views. The service is terrible and the food is nothing to get excited about. It's over priced and under delivered. There are some many other great places with fantastic service and great food in Newport. If you are looking for that than go to 22 Bowens, Castle Hill, Clarke Cooke House or Safari room at Ocean Cliff because I promise you will receive the service you deserve and the quality food that you expect, that includes a beautiful ambience.
