Oh boy, the menudo here is a winner, and I'm usually quite the critic when it comes to this dish! I can't resist adding my own hominy to the meaty goodness, and the staff are always so friendly and speedy, making the line feel like a breeze. Their barbacoa is a Sunday must-have, and don't even get me started on the tamales-perfectly moist and utterly delicious-I've found my culinary haven in San Antonio!

From San Antonio but now we live in Eddy, Texas. We have tried other tamales around San Antonio but the best ones so far are from La Victoria.They have always been consistentl with how they make the tamales. The tamales are always very fresh, and that is the way we like our tamales. So every time we go visit family in San Antonio we stop by La Victoria and bring back home about four to five dozen tamales and freeze them, that way we can have tamales when ever we crave them.

Our family has been going here since it opened. We never have had a bad experience with the staff or the food. Everyone is friendly , quick and professional. We used to perchase a can each year for Christmas. Otherwise just dozens at a time making the drive from Austin, Tx. We now live in Dallas and will be stopping in for some tamales on the way to the beach in Port Aransas. My husband passed this year and the family will be on our way to spread his ashes on the beach.
This was his favorite place to get Tamales and a Big Red!
