The food especially dinners are horrible .. prime rib is NOT PRIME RIB .. had breakfast to go 4 orders where all wrong potatoes taste like dawn dish liquid watery and greasy this place has gone down the drain ..best bet if you eat there is to make sure you order a fresh bagel toasted with butter if it's butter and a coffee at least refills are free

I had been a customer of the Bagel Shop for number of years. Up until very recently only for the bagels, and occasional sandwich all of which were excellent. My son and I went for dinner: the experience was quite different and unpleasant. I ordered a Prime Rib medium rare, it was well done with not a trace of pink, I sent it back. Its replacement showed up also well done.
When I asked for something different the waitress said "that's the best he can do." So I ordered another dish. The waitress was attentive and doing her best..
My son had ordered the Manicotti, took one bite and thought it was bland and that the cheese mix was tasteless. He went and got the waitress so he could order something else.
At this juncture a man sitting table away from me told us that was the way they got it.
I responded quietly that didn't matter to me, the food was not up to par. He then told us in a loud voice , "You don't like the food, all you do is complain, just get out of here."
I did and I won't be back. At no time in talking to the waitress did either my son or I raise our voices. The quality of the food was sub-par. The attitude displayed by the owner was horrible, instead of finding out what we were concerned about and solving the problem, he escalated a complaint from a long-time customer into lost business.
