Toasted fennel is like a flavor explosion in your mouth that makes you want to do a little happy dance. It's a bummer that the farmer's markets are packing up, but I'll be on the lookout for Poco Carretto's gelato fix when they're not around. Their cart's delicious offerings at private events are like finding a treasure chest of yumminess, and I'm already counting down the days until I can reunite with that burnt sugar gelato that stole my heart.
