Gumbo, ettouffees, New Orleans style Po-boys, Alligator, Fried Green Tomatoes are some of the items on the lunch menu. The Dinner Menu adds specialties such as our North Port Snapper and North Port Steam Pot. Dinner offers Grilled Seafood, Patas, Chicken and Steaks that are aged in-house for 28 days. Food was good but the service was awful. Only 2 waitresses to handle the lunch crowd and they just couldn't do it. Took 20 mins. to get our drinks and another 20 or more for her to take our order. This was the second time was had eaten here and we knew we didn't like it the first time but couldn't remember why and since it is close to the theater we decided to try it again and found out really fast why we didn't like it the first time. The service is just awful. Chicken fried steak and fried catfish were good and the turnip greens were wonderful but the mashed potatoes were instant and had maybe a tablespoon of gravy on them and I didn't ask for more gravy because it had taken so long to get the food we were going to miss our movie. If we ever eat there again we will call it in and not spend 2 hours trying to get fed. There weren't even very many customers in the place and we were all getting very poor service. Nobody can keep a restaurant going with such bad service or maybe I should say good waitresses but not enough of them and then way too much time to cook the food.
