I had a wonderful experience at M.B. Hackett, where the food is fresh, well-prepared, and features seasonal, new American dishes like perfectly poached eggs, savory crepes, and flavorful entrees such as arctic char and duck breast. The friendly, attentive staff went above and beyond, even allowing me to stay after closing, and the cozy atmosphere-whether inside or on the back patio-makes it a great place to enjoy a meal alone or with friends.

One Saturday night at 8:00, my friends and I found ourselves as the only patrons in the restaurant. Despite the quiet atmosphere, the food was surprisingly tasty and reasonably priced. I enjoyed a well-cooked arctic char served with wild rice and broccolini, while my friend savored a delicious duck breast with polenta and roasted greens. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made it a nice spot for a casual evening meal.
