My day trip with Sonic in Sweetwater was upsetting and annoying to say the least.Drove in for lunch on this beautiful weather Wed.October 22 with my daughter in law and Grandchildren, one of which Gracie 2 yr. old was really ready to eat.The first two stations I pulled into had Out Of Order signs taped on the ordering screen's.Finally got a spot.Ordered and proceeded to pay.Would not accept my Bank Card.When the girl delivered and gave us our order I told her about problem with machine, she ask to take card inside to try there. Our waitress came back and said she couldnt get card to work inside either.She ask me if it was a new card I said no what was the problem? I had just stopped to fill up with gas before we left L.C. money was there and everything should be fine. So she goes to get the manager. Gracie had already began eating her hamburger and Tot's. Manager and waitress return and say somrthing is wrong with MY account and I needed to call my bank. I couldnt believe this, I've never had a problem like this and I knew money was in the bank. I told manager I didnt have cash on me, just my bank card and personal checks. She said yhey couldnt accept checks either. So I say well what do we do here? I said do you want the food back? The manager girl said yes,,,,So we get alll the food back together into bag with Gracie crying because we had to take her food away.The manager Tayla took our food and lemon water's and said Im really sorry.
I went straight across the street to grocery Outlet to run my card there and everything was fine as expected. Then went to A&W ordered and paid WITH card. We had left our cell at home but I already knew nothing was WRONG with our account. I returned to Sonic to inform manager Tayla that nothing was wrong with our account and that was pretty sad how she had just conducted herself in this. She never did admit fault om their end and said she had not had this problem with other cards. WOW Really!!!! Never offered to make up for our inconvenience in any way.I guess when your 19 and a manager YOUR alway's right, Oh well to the customer..Im sure we wont be stopping in at Sonic of Sweetwater for quite a while..
