I didn't expect much from any restaurant in Terre Haute, but Taj Mahal totally surprised me with its flavorful and authentic Indian dishes that hit just the right spice level for me. The friendly staff, quick service, and vegan-friendly menu make it a solid choice whether you're a local or just passing through.

I didn't have high expectations for any restaurants in Terre Haute, but Taj Mahal surprised me with its fantastic food. I'm not a connoisseur of Indian cuisine, but if I had to describe my ideal flavors, this would be it - everything was so tasty. I asked for a mild spice level, and they were more than happy to accommodate. The menu might have a few typos, but don't let that distract you from the amazing food and friendly service at Taj Mahal.

I always end up getting the mushroom saag... it is just too yummy!
The owner, cook, and waiter are all wonderful as well.
They need to open up another place near Charleston/Mattoon, IL
