12/13/2008 - The Diner
In my opinion, the best Thai resturant in the western suburbs. Their food is authentic, affordable, and very tasty. Many Thai resturants in the area tend to limit thier menu or scale it down to include only popular suburban items like Pad Thai and its relatives, not so with Bahn Thai. They offer beef salad, drunken noodles, a full selection of Thai curries, excellent soups, and spring rolls that are out of this world.
The actual eating area is nicely decorated, creating a very pleansant dining environment. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to make you happy.
The one and only drawback is the location. They share a building with a several different business and of the business throws off a strong disinfectant smell that can be a bit unsettling at times. The smell of alcohol swabs tends to compete with the tasty Thai smell. Aside from that - try Bahn Thai.

I've been to a lot of Thai restaraunts and this is the best I've found. It is better than King and I thai in my opinion. It doesn't get a too much traffic because of location. But if you like Tom Yum soup (try it if you haven't) it is really good here. I usually get it with Chicken instead of shrimp. I also ask for more, and maybe a bit more spicey. For variety I ask them to give me a side of the spicy chicken sauce (it is sweet) and add some of that to the soup to flavor. The wings are very good there too, as well as their curry's.
