After staying the night at Mystic Hot Springs, we stopped in Monroe and discovered Cowboy Corral, an authentic cafe with a charming early-century vibe and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The simple, hearty menu features delicious, home-cooked meals like biscuits and gravy that remind me of my grandma's cooking, all at very reasonable prices.

I love Cowboy Corral Cafe! The food is great, the service can be a little slow, theres only 3 or 4 people working, but be patient, the end result is worth the wait. Ive been there maybe 30 times, and everytime I feel like I'm sitting in my Grandmas kitchen, smelling the good smells of breakfast cooking, coffee brewing, and hearing quiet music on the radio. But at Cowboy Corral Cafe, Saturday mornings and Friday and Saturday evenings they often have live local musicians playing contemporary and old time favorites. Recently they got new management, I spoke with them and aside from updating a few things, decor and wifi, etc, they are committed to keeping the same hometown feel and quality food. I hope they never close!

We love this little cafe. Great menu; great service; very friendly; love the live music. We travel alot in the summer. We look for these mom and pop cafe's wherever we go. Cowboy Corral is one of our favorites!!
