Behind the adage "don't judge a book by its cover" lies a seemingly run-down deli with a broken AC unit and a cash-only policy. Despite its humble exterior, the turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese, onions, and mayo surprised me with its delicious flavors, particularly the sweetness of the onions and mayo enhancing the taste of the turkey, all generously stacked between fresh bread. The cook, Diego, at Ray Deli has a talent for creating homemade-tasting dishes, offering a variety of options from egg sandwiches to hot roast beef, ensuring a satisfying meal even for those on a tight budget.
