The coffee is not good, I order a side of toast it was one piece of bread and when I got it it was cold and hard then it cost $2.00 for one piece of bread I will not go there again ,

Best breakfast on the island period! Love the mimosas and the traditional breakfast. We love to go here anytime we’re out in the morning.

We were hoping for an upgrade from the DIner's pervious incarnation as the "Kure Beach Diner". To our dismay, it's actually a downgrade. A buddy went and said he wasn't happy with his omelette (it was runny, cold, and took entirely too long to come out) but happily agreed to meet my wife and I back there as we hadn't been since opening/re-opening. Similar ambience... not much different there. Still the same small galley layout. Once the food arrived, I noticed a few things. 1; I'd requested friend eggs with cheese melted on top. 2; I requested crispy home fries. We like what we like! The eggs were missing the cheese, the home-fries were soft as if microwaved, and the English muffin was barely toasted. Everything was clearly rushed and honestly, done without care. The wild part was when I kindly asked if I could still have some cheese melted on my eggs, our gentleman server replied "I don't think we can do that". I looked over at my friend who had cheese melted on his omelette, looked back at him, and said "He's got it melted, simply do what was done for him please". The server walked off with a huff and later returned with two new eggs and half melted cheddar cheese. Fry the egg, put cheese on top, then cover with a lid for 30 seconds. C'mon all. None of our party members were happy with the quality of the food, nor intend to return. Probably heading to "Kate's" or even "Gulf stream". Our shining star of the visit was Patty, a (THE ONLY if honest) person who really was happy to be working, helping, and trying to share a little positivity. Thanks Patty. A small local spot with a limited menu REALLY needs to focus more on food quality and care. The attitude of our server could have been overlooked if the food was prepared with care or accuracy. The ingredients should also be a bit more organic with such a limited menu. Please do better all. We NEED a great breakfast spot in KB. Unfortunately, we are 0/2 since I've lived there :(.
