I received a $30 gift certificate in November 2010 for my birthday. The certificate was issued in their Leland location, now defunct. The Porters Neck location denied to honor the certificate when our family dined there.I used their web-site without success to get an explanation. Putting food and service aside, How would you review them?

I have loved Antonio's at Monkey Junction for many years. I was at least going once a week or every two weeks in the summer. I love their food. That being said, after tonight I will never go back again after the way I was treated.

My friend and I ordered a pizza for takeout. First, sometimes they will let us do a half/half pizza with different toppings. And sometimes they act like we're crazy for asking. This isn't necessarily a problem, but it's a definite inconsistency. So this was one of those nights where they wouldn't let us do a half meat pizza and half white (and I understand their reasons for doing this) but when we got to the restaurant to pick up our pizza my friend ordered two slices of white to go with our pizza. The person checking us out (who I believe is the owner/manager) was irritated by this to begin with.

We asked him to split the cost of the pizza so we could each pay for our share. He walked away from the register to do something else and came back and said "What is it you wanted me to do?" with the most disrespectful tone I've ever heard. I (nicely) repeated our request. He then struggled to do this but gave me my total. I paid in cash and he gave me my change. Then he said he gave me the wrong change and I pulled out the exact amount and went over what I gave him and what he gave back to me.

Then he went to do my friend's half of the order and she had a credit card. He looked at her card and asked if she had cash. She said no and then he said "Well, I don't know what to do because the register already closed out the order." So my friend asked him "I don't have cash so what should I do?" (Meaning, would he like for us to redo the order and I give her my cash and she put it all on her card, etc.) He then walked away from the register pulled our pizza out of the oven cold and slapped it up on the counter and said it was ready.

Now, I am an honest person so I wasn't going to walk out of there owing him 14 dollars. We were still standing at the register and I was getting ready to pull out cash and he started waiting on the next person. (Sidebar, while all of this was going on he would wait on the people behind us in line when he walked away from our questions). I said, "We need to pay you for the rest of the order." And he said, "WELL, SHE doesn't have cash." I offered to give him the rest of the cash and he took it.

I'm not asking for a boycott of the restaurant. I am sure it was possibly a bad night. But, I am very hurt and will never go to the restaurant again. I am a professional aged woman who believes in honesty and congeniality. I am so deeply upset by the way I was treated by this man, and I am so surprised that he didn't even apologize for the inconvenience.

You know those little restuarants that hardly anyone knows about, but has the best food in town? That's what Antonio's is. I went to the one at Monkey Junction and it was some of the best Italian food I have ever had! The staff was very friendly as well. Do yourself a favor and make this one of your must eats in Wilmington!

We had dinner at Antonio's on 12/29/08. The place was crowded but they seemed to be understaffed. As soon as we were seated one of the staff propped open the door so that the cold air was blowing right on everyone who was seated toward the front of the restaurant. We advised the waitress that we had coupons before we ordered. The service was not good and when the waitress came to our table, she did not even bring the bill and we had been finished for a while, she took the credit cards in her hand and was gone with them for a good 15 minutes before she returned with the cards and bills, only to tell the other couple with us that she did not order an entree (she ordered a calzone) and therefore, her coupon was no good. This was okay, except that she knew before we ordered that we had coupons and should have let them kn ow that what she ordered would not work with the coupon. We have eaten there several times before but will not again. Do restaurants not know that this is a good way to loose customers? The staff did not seem to be customer oriented and did not have anyone overseeing the operation. It was very slap hazard.

We ate here on St.Patrick's day. Great pizza, good beer selection on tap, great bands where playing, and a fun casual atmosphere! Rough hewn tables and brick walls give this eatery an old world charm. Close to the beach and does have an outside patio on the ocean side open during warm weather. We will return on our next trip.

My husband and I love this place. Great food and large portions. They are a little pricy, but great food.

Best pizza I've ever had. The restaurant is in a strip mall with the Food Lion so not so romantic but a great great great place to get pizza when down at the beach. Awesome!

This is one of the best pizzaria's in Wilmington. The pizza is always consistently good. If they deliver, make sure you ask them to please check the order before it leaves. Three times they've left food out when I was over friend's and was trying to get them to like Antonio's.

Our favorite pizza in Wilmington!! Out of town guests specifically request it! Love the lasagna and eggplant parmesan. Great delivery service, very friendly. Worth the wait.
