Driving along Wisconsin's Great River Road, I stopped in Nelson for lunch at the Cheese Shop and Creamery, where the friendly staff served delicious, hearty sandwiches made with fresh ingredients and complemented by some of the best tomato basil soup I've ever tasted. The cozy atmosphere, wide selection of artisanal cheeses, meats, and homemade ice cream made it a memorable and satisfying experience I look forward to repeating.

During our drive along WI 35, we stopped for lunch in Nelson, Wisconsin. The cheese shop we visited also had a deli-style restaurant where we ordered our sandwiches at the counter. The Old Town and Old Fashion sandwiches we enjoyed were flavorful and satisfying. It was a pleasant break during our scenic drive on a beautiful November day.
