This is by far the worse restaurant I have visited all my life. My girlfriend took me to this place for my birthday, but since we got there we experienced lack of SERVICE. The hostess asked, how many? I was expecting, good evening, welcome to Lauriol Plaza, how many in your party this evening?. None of that. We waited for at least an hour for a table and when we finally got one, it took at least 20 minutes for a server to show up. The first words out of her mouth were: Want something to drink? Again, none of: Hi, my name is Mary and I will be your server tonight. She finally realized that we had drinks we had brought from the bar and asked if we were ready to order, we did. When we got the food, the runner started to auction it, he called the first dish and my girlfriend answer, and then he called the second dish, even when he knew I was the only other person left to eat at the table. My girlfriend’s order was wrong, but we couldn't said anything to any body, because it took at least 10 minutes for our waitress to come back to check on us. She apologized for the error and proceeded to take the dish back to the kitchen, It was 20 minutes before it arrived. Needles to say, my dish was dead cold by then. We ate and during the entire meal she did not come back to the table to see if we needed anything. When we finished, she came back and asked if we wanted dessert, we declined, she handed us the check right away, which lead me to believe she was hopping we did not get dessert.
I think a restaurant this big and this famous in DC, should have a better training program and have a program in place to ensure guests to have a good dining experience. This is totally unacceptable of a restaurant that portraits itself as one of the best of DC. I will definitely not go back and will not recommend it.

I had the worse experience there ever on Cinco de Mayo. The Owner was rude and I will NEVER go to this place ever again. I am also making sure that my friends, co-workers, or clients ever go to this place. We were accused of seating ourselves from the owner, after the hostess sat us there. You would like he would apologize after the hostess confirmed that she sat us there....but he didn't (mind you we waited for 2 hours to be seated). He's the rudest person that I've met and I will post this on every review I can.
