My husband and I ate here last night and the food was awesome!!!! The service was great and the food came out quick. We haven't eaten here in a while but the restaurant looks great they remodeled the inside and the floors look really good we will definitely be coming back.

What happened to Koto's? Have they ever gone downhill! We ate there last night and ordered sushi and 2 items off the "fast" menu. There were only 2 other tables occupied at the time.....our order took 45 minutes!!!! I ordered green tea when we sat down, and the water in the pot wasn't even warm enough for the tea to steep. Not even tepid. Server never came back to check, so I couldn't tell her. Husband's sweet tea never got refilled. Food was cold when we finally got it. Overheard servers saying that we "did not look happy" after the 45 minutes of waiting for our food, and just sort of laughed. The two servers that were waiting on tables were busy pushing large carts of cleaning supplies and tubs to bus dishes and clean tables. They were also too busy sweeping the carpet with a broom to take the time to check on the patrons. Guess they wanted to get out of there the minute the place closed....which was an hour later. AND the FOOD...has totally turned to crap. The last TWO times I have eaten there, have noticed it has become greasy, tasteless and portions (or LACK thereof) of meat in the stir fry are non-existent. Hubby and I were talking last night that Sake Express will be our new place if we want a Japanese "fix". Blech. Stay away. They can't even handle a couple of tables service wise and the food is not good anymore.

Last visit my family was greeted by a awful stinch as soon as we entered the door. Halfway through our meal we spotted 2 roaches crawling up the wall. Unfortunately sometimes these things happen but it was enough for us to never visit again.

My husband and I absolutely love Koto! We have tried all kinds of Japanese and if you are looking for amazing taste and quality like you would get from a Japanese restaurant that cooks in front of you, then you have to try Koto. Their prices are fair and their sushi was great! I never liked sushi until I tried it at Koto. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody and everybody that likes Japanese. All the employees are wonderful as well!

My wife and I went here this evening for supper. We have eaten here many times in the past and never had an issue. We ordered hibachi fillet mignon. The steak was too tough and chewy to eat. I ate about 4 of the small pieces and my wife ate 3 or 4. That was enough to make your jaw hurt. So I tell the waitress (who was great the entire night). She goes and tells the manager/owner and he says "Sorry it was tough but it is still 17.95 a plate." I asked to speak with him. He was very rude. He mentioned that we ordered it cooked too done. We ordered it medium and some of it was overly done. He said the cook might have overcooked it but still wanted us to pay. He also stated that maybe we would like the cheaper steak as if we did not know what fillet should be like. Remember, the plates were still full, we did not even eat the rice. He then sends a waitress out to our table with a plate full of the raw fillet to show us. I did not care about the steak. He offers to take 50% of the bill off, which is still not right, but I was so mad i was ready to leave so i paid it. While waiting on the check, he brings an entire loin out to our table to argue some more about his steak. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in my life. I will never go back. I literraly just walked in the door and had to write this to warn others before it is too late. I would like to add though if it was not for the wait staff, he would not have given us any break on the bill at all. To sum it up, it was a great valentines dinner...Sorry for the long post, thanks for reading it though.

Our family eats out on a regular basis and this was easily the worst service we've ever had. The server completely ignored us after she took our order and it took the kitchen 45 minutes to produce our food off the "fast menu". Most of it was barely warm; some of it was cold and it had obviously been sitting long before it reached our table. We had to get up to find our own flatware and straws and she treated us like a burden when we flagged her down to get our one and only drink refill after we had finished eating. The prices on the Fast Menu are very reasonable so if you don't have anything else on your agenda for the day and you don't mind being treated like an ogre, enjoy your meal at the Koto Japanese Steak House.
