The Kountry Kitchen is one of mine and my Dad's favorite places to eat. We always do the buffet and they always have something on the buffet appeasing to the eye. I particularly enjoy their baked chicken on Sunday's and their Fried Green Tomato's. It's a great place with a friendly staff and they always make you feel welcome! Daddy likes their Chicken and Spaghetti. I also love their Squash Casserole. It's absolutely delish!!

My husband & I stopped by on Aug 12, 2011 on our way back from Montgomery. I ordered the 8oz Rib-eye Steak, my husband had the 1/2 dozen chicken livers. I asked the waitress if I could have the onion rings instead of a baked potato and she said "yes". We were told to help ourselves to the salad bar. We were handed two very small 14 oz bowls to make our salad. The salad bar was almost empty at 7:30 pm. Our dinners arrived. I don't know what they use as a marinade, but it leaves a awful tangy taste in the steak. Using A1 steak sauce didn't help the taste any better. My husband had no complaints with his livers, other than they were over breaded. We were finishing our meal and the waitress left our meal check. There was an additional $1.25 charge for the onion rings. I questioned the waitress and she said "yes, it is extra to substitute a baked potato for onion rings". Why didn't she tell me this when I ordered my meal, or I would have not done the exchange. Furious, I asked the cashier and she told me the same thing. This is ridiculous to charge $1.25 extra for onion rings when I'm not getting the baked potato and when my steak meal alone is already $10.95. Nevertheless, I WON"T BE GOING BACK EVER!!!!
