The food is just like you would get in Korea. It is a family run business and often then do not have enough help. The server does everything. I learned to call ahead and order over the phone and it is ready when I get there. I have been there for lunch when the only one working was the cook/owner. This restaurant (at that time) is more like a cafeteria. Place your order get, your water and pick up the food when it is ready. Service is very slow because the cook tries to do the best job she can. I lived in Korea 13 years and this food is the closest to food served in restaurants in Seoul,Korea.

I just had lunch there today.
The food was okay. I had the squid with rice. The plate was huge, but the portion was ehhh.
I was even more depressed they only gave ONE banchaan and that was when they served me my lunch! not even before. And it was a sad, and not very cold cucumber kimchi!
I have to say it was not because I am not Korean that I did not get a side dish because a group of 3 korean men also only got one banchaan.

The best food, and the worst service. my family and I went for dinner, the total was $180, we didn't leave a tip because the service was terrible so the owner chased us down and said "no tip?" we did end up giving her a tip, but the reason we didn't is because the people that came after us was got the food before us, they took very long to take our order. I'm not making this up but once I had a fly in my beef fried kimchi rice, and they didn't offer me another dish, because it is a small family oriented restaurant I didn't make a big fuss. I used to go once a week, but after the kast 2 times of lousy service never again!!!

It's nice to finally find an authentic Korean restaurant in Providence. The food is excellent and made to order, so if it's busy, then you might wait a little while to get your order. But it's well worth it. The prices are low as well. I notice mostly Asian students eating there probably because it's cheap, but good food.

I went to this place at the recommendation of a friend and I was quite pleasantly surprised. I ordered a hot soup, made with sea food and that was very very spicy. The portion was huge, and the soup tasted great. Also, the price was quite low for the amount of food I got and the great taste. The ambiance of the restaurant is nothing special, but decent. This is a family restaurant and the food is cooked from scratch, not premade which I really appreaciate. I rated the service a 9 because we waited a bit more than expected till they cooked and served our food. Overall, a nice place that I will visit again.
