Place is great, food was delicious. Came on a friday and I enjoyed the live entertainment. I ordered a Linguini Frutti di mare and my wife had the Fettucine alfredo with broccoli, absolutely delicious. I will be back.

My husband and I were very disappointed with the shrimp entrees. The shrimp was overcooked. I thought shrimp scampi was supposed to have fried shrimp. MINE CAME WIT SHRIMP SHRIMP THAT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS DEFROSTED AND put on the plate.

Absolutely overrated.....I had the seafood Risotto and it was not edible. The seafood was old and the risotto was so salty I couldn't stand to eat it. My husband had the Eggplant parmesan and it was like eating leather with watery pasta sauce on it.

This is the best Italian food I ever had. I usually go around the North End for an Italian meal but the Colosseum Restaurant blows them out of the water. I could not have been more pleased with the service, food, and atmosphere.
The owner was walking around making sure everything was going smooth and checking up on our meals to see if we enjoyed everything. I told him straight away that I was more than satisfied and everything tasted great.
I ordered the Lobster fra diavolo which was on their special and my wife ordered the veal pizzaiola. Both were excellent and fairly portioned. At the end we ordered their home-made creamy limoncello which was to die for. I never limoncello that way before.
I highly recommend it and I sure will be coming back again.

That was the most disgusting Italian food we have ever had. We usually go into the North End of Boston but decided to try something different. The pork was fatty and the creamed cheese sauce bland and heavy. Absolutely GROSS and overpriced.

I have been to this restaurant at least 10-12 times starting when they were at their old, lower Boadway location. Initially I used to order the big price menu options, such as veal chops, seafood specials, Etc. After being disappointed a few times I decided that perhaps they were good at basic IItalian, veal scallopini, chicken cacciatori, Etc. this did not change much. The last time I was there I chose the most basic dish I could find, homemade italian sausage, they came in cold and a little raw, This is when I decided that they had a quality issue and have not been there for three years since - I tought I warn you

Knockoff "authentic" Italian Restaurant

-Everything is A La Carte, meaning they charge you 'an arm and a leg' for a normal, decent meal.
-Claim to be authentic, but don't even give you good bread...the butter is in the plastic peel cups found at Denny's!!!!! So sad
-Service is horrendous...we went at 6pm on Saturday and it took 40 minutes to get a 2nd beer!! I only saw the waiters/waitresses on the floor 3x during the entire meal...once to get the order, once after about 1 hr, and once to give check
-Pasta is basically regular store bought unless you pay extra to get "homemade" which tastes the same
-Pasta sauce isn't any better than store bought either

----overall one of the most disappointing restaurants I've ever been to (over 100 in at least 6 states)--top 5 worst

The food is over priced portions do not reflect the prices charged. Much advertising little quality. The awards must have been purchased or there was no competition. Neither quality nor quantity.
