Cruising through town, we decided to stop and were greeted with huge portions of authentic Mexican food that tasted just like being back in Mexico. The friendly owners, Charlie and Wendy, made us feel right at home with fast service and a welcoming atmosphere, whether dining in or grabbing takeout. From the flavorful fish tacos to the rich mole enchiladas and fresh homemade salsa, this is where locals come for delicious, fresh ingredients and a genuine taste of Baja California.

They don't serve authentic Mexican food, but what they do serve is delicious and inexpensive. Burritos are enormous and flavorful, although don't expect too many ingredients: they usually just contain meat & sauce, maybe with beans. This is total gringo food but in a Mexican food desert, Charlie's may be your best bet. Great for take-out and families.

I have eaten here many time...Mexican is my favorite and this restaurant is outstanding for food. There is a waiter that is not so friendly but the food is definitely worth enduring his lack of enthusiasm. Definitely try it!!!!!!

went to Baja Charlie's wens. 3/18/15..my very first fish taco...outstanding...service was good..atmosphere was good also..would go back in a minute!
