This cozy spot is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or beer, with a great selection to choose from. The warm atmosphere and friendly bartender made for a fantastic evening, and I can't wait to return!

The place is a side street bar. Wonderful clientele, the music is open mic on Wednesdays, and a blast. Often a band on a Friday or Saturday. Really good place to hang out.

* The food is pretty good.
* The service is terrible, very slow.
* The place is freezing inside during winter months.
At first we thought that they are new to the business, and we would give them some time to learn how to run things. They have had plenty of time. Still terrible service and freezing. So sad what has become of this town. Everything is in Burlington for shopping and restaurants. Oh well, just a fifteen minute drive.

A very disappointing dining experience. Not what we expected from the write up in the paper. Food was tasteless and not prepared very well. Our table was dirty when we were seated, asked to have it cleaned which never happened. We seemed rushed to order by our server but when it was time to pay we couldn't get anyones attention.

Poor service, weak drinks, steaks tasted like a dirty grill. We didn't enjoy sitting in the bar area with those that appeared to be very inebriated and probably should of been cut off long before we arrived. Had to wear our coats the entire time we were dining as it was so cold you could practically see your breath in the place. It's sad that this icon is quickly becoming just another BAR rather than a great dining destination.

The Hillside Inn is great! Best atmosphere and best food in town. My husband and I come here every year. Wonderful Place.

One word describes dining experience-TERRIBLE!
Supposedly when you enter you are suppose to take a menu off the bar & seat yourself. After asking we did seat our self only to be ignored for 15 minutes. During this time there are 3 girls behind the bar doing very little. One waitress in the dining area.
Ordered drinks, got a menu & ordered appetizers & meal. One half hour later get our salads just before the appetizers. Half hour later told they are out of one special. 3/4 hours later the meal is served. One steak is OK, one is so tough it can hardly be eaten, Special was cold, other steak was OK, baked potato's were luke warm. Food was good that came frozen and was deep fat fried.
Totally mismanaged with poor quality food.
