Do not go here. The food a couple years ago was bad but it has gone downhill. Also, I think I would get food poisoning if I ate there.
They use a single set of tongs for a multitude of dishes (one set I saw was for pork, crab, and a sweet donut). That is cross contamination and if someone has an allergy, they are a goner. Some of the food isn’t even kept in the steam table. There won’t be any room, so they will set a hot item on top of everything, leaving it in the temperature danger zone. The ice is scooped without a scooper. They just dunk the cup into the ice. Not supposed to do that. More than once, I saw a hand go in.
THEY SERVE ROTTON FOOD!!! I recently went there and the mandarin oranges were rotten. It was like shoveling garbage into my mouth and I almost threw up! I literally eat those things every day so I know what they taste like. I brought it to the manager’s attention just so he knew and he called me stupid and a liar. He said that all oranges have a sour taste and what I tasted was just that. I work in the restaurant industry, I graduated from culinary school, I have my servsafe, and I know what kind of bacteria can grow in cans. He said those things, and told me I was the kind of person who purposely put my hair in food just to get free food. After he said that, I told him I wasn’t paying and he said he would call the police. A gentleman walked up to us and said he would call the police on me for theft. I told him I was not going to leave without paying, I just wanted to let the manager know, but it was when he called me stupid and a liar that I was angry. The gentleman (who said he was a legal mediator) said that I had to pay 90% and then asked who my little brother (whom I was taking out to dinner) was beside me and said I was teaching him how to get free food. He then told my brother to shush after my brother said we are not those kinds of people (in reference to the free meal thing). He asked my brother why he was with me and where did he go to school and what kind of grades he gets because apparently we were ignorant. In addition, he threatened to hurt my brother. It was only when my brother threatened back that the manager said I could pay half. I will never go back there again!
